It was kind of surreal. Only a couple of months after I arrive at the French Riviera, and we go to this beach restaurant (!) in St Tropez called "La Voile Rouge" (The Red Sail). Lunch starts fairly tame (with me asking around "Why did you say this place was WILD again?", little did I know) but at about 2PM, music starts pumping and these girls come up on the tables and start undressing. People spraying them with champagne (lots of). Girls remained completely naked on tables. (Don't forget, we are on the beach, and there are "normal people" passing by on the water front)

Oh and the lunch bill PER PERSON was about USD 300 (and we were not among those popping champagne bottles to wet the naked chicks). And (get this!) the establishment does not accept cheques nor credit cards, monsieur. Just piles of cash :-)

"Hallucinant", comme disent les Francais... It was a rather harsh welcome to the Cote d'Azur :-)
