Not sure if you have ever lived in the USA at any time but here is some feedback on your view of multiple parties.

First of all, we already have multiple parties in our electoral process. Libertarian, Independent, Green, Socialist to name a couple. And there are already many differing views within the Democratic and Republican parties making some Democrats look like Republicans and some Republicans looking like Democrats. IMO the reason the other parties in this country have failed is because their ideas are too radical. Either too far left or too far right. Most Americans tend to be middle of the road or just slightly off the mark. We are a tolerant people in spite of the daily comments one reads on the various political threads. Prior candidates like Goldwater, Brown, Nader, Buchanan, Wallace, McGovern failed largely because they expressed views too far from the average voter's common sense beliefs. Candidates like Dean, Sharpton, Kucinch are current day examples. They will not win the upcoming election.
