it seems that there are more than two ways of looking at political and economic issues of a country, and a third party can very well do just that.

but of course... but can you get the votes to get the thing implemented ? that is my point. NOT the fact that there may be a thousand points of view.

Well, it does matter a bit, since not everyone has the same idea as to EXACTLY WHAT they want the future president to achieve. Political views of the candidate are still important in who gets chosen... I hope :-)

At the risk of discarding one, two, or more GOOD ideas because of partisanship ?
