By coincidence, I was reading your post while simultaneously watching a NBC news report on a Iraqi family car that had been fired upon by American soldiers. Observing the reaction of the Iraqi surviving family and friends, graphically exhibited the validity of your thesis. Unfortunately, the Americans who need to be reached are immune to Iraqi deaths, no matter how innocent. The only way I can think of reaching them is to hammer home the obvious fact, that continuation of Bush's policy can only lead to a draft and many more American deaths. I would love for this to become a campaign issue where reporters where constantly querying the Prez - Will you promise not to start the draft? If that level of fear on this subject could be raised, Bush would be in trouble.
