Why do some people think that everything that happens to them is somebody else’s fault?
I realize that there are things which are out of our control such as accidents, violence and sickness, but putting that aside
if we want to see who is responsible for our lives we should look in the mirror.
If you smoke cigarettes and get lung cancer it’s your own fault. There should be no amount of advertising or anything else which could make you light up the first one knowing what you know. You do it to yourself.
If you walk into a convenience store with a gun in your hand and somebody blows your head off it’s your own fault.
If a policeman stops you and you resist arrest and get a baton up the side of your head or a face full of mace, it’s your own fault. The policeman is just doing his job.
If you keep showing up late for work or don’t do a good job and the boss fires you, it’s your own fault.
If you stick a syringe full of heroin in your arm or inhale a pipe full of crack cocaine and get addicted it’s your own fault. You knew the consequences before you did it and the blame goes squarely on your shoulders.
If you lay in the back of a car and shoot and kill several innocent people it isn’t because of the environment you were raised in or the influence of another person, it’s just because you’re evil and you should have to stand up and face the music.
If you force yourself on a woman, it makes no difference if the woman is a street walking prostitute, it’s still rape and you should have to pay the penalty.
If you are offered a free education and slough off just because you’re lazy it is not society’s responsibility, it’s yours.
If you are able bodied and refuse to work and there is a job available, you should not receive help from any agency. Social assistance should be reserved for those who are unable to work or otherwise can’t take care of themselves.
When people pay taxes they should have some say about what their money is spent on and it should not be done at a politician’s whim.
If you are a cruel dictator who has used chemical weapons to
murder your own people, if you have had people beaten and thrown off roofs, if you have allowed two sons to rape virgins and torture sports teams for not winning, if you have subjected your country to two wars you knew you couldn’t win resulting in the killing of thousands upon thousands, if you have defied the world and thumbed your nose at the warnings, you deserve all the humiliation and whatever harsh justice you receive.
Get real, when you dance you pay.
Pray for our troops.
