Interesting blurb from the AP in the Dallas Morning News .. Oracle Software to let TVs cruise the Net Redwood City, CA - An Oracle Corp. subsidary on Wednesday announced software to let people cruise the Internet with their televisions and said that set-top boxes running the prorgram will be available next month. Network Computer Inc.'s Enhanced TV software will compete against similar technology from Microsoft Corp.'s WebTV Networks. "The NCI announcement is a beachhead for Oracle," said Gary ARlen, president of Arlen Communications, a Bethesda, MD research firm. "They think Internet television could be a big market, and if they don't get positioned soon, Microsoft could write the rules." -Associated Press
