is accused of lying to immigration officials about his association with terrorist groups when he applied for American citizenship in 1993.

If there is evidence of that, this person will be stripped of his US citizenship. There is a reason, the INS folks ask you a bunch of questions during the citizenship interview - all of which require a written answer in your handwriting - so that it can be revoked at a later stage, if youre proven to be lying (however far back that may have been).

(including ridiculous ones from my perspective, such as "were you a member of the Nazi movement in the 1940's ?" Heck I was born in 1960!)
