OT, I mean really OT, thoughts on Donald Trumps Hair and Balding in General:
I saw a clip of an appearance of his in which he was being interviewed. The subject was his hair. To show it wasn't a hairpiece, he pushed it back from his forehead. You could see a 'normal' hairline -- but he did it very quickly, so you couldn't see the detail closely.
But two things would be explained by his present bizarre choice of hairstyle. One is the very peculiar and unstylish unflattering loooong hair combed backward from the top, over the pate, and down over the back of his head; the other the pushed-forward hair in the front that you've never seen on a human male before. That's why I conclude that he has something he wants to cover up front and in back -- in front, the transplants, in back the bare spots, scars, where the transplanted front hair was taken from.
I don't get why men care if they're bald. No, I take that back, I do get it, because a lot of women seem to think it's a negative. That's what I don't understand.
Wait, I do understand it, from the evolutionary psych standpoint. But just not from my personal esthetic one.
What I'd do if I were a balding guy who cared, and there was no special reason not to do it, would be to go with the shaved head. I love that look. Trump can never do that if he's had a transplant (I'd bet a lot of money he has), because of the scar polka dots on the back of his head.
You could call the topic of the bias against bald males social politics, maybe, or sexual politics, and then this conversation isn't so OT! |
