Unfortunately, we see it from both sides of the political spectrum and even more unfortunate is that the voting center tends to tune out both extremes.

As I read some of O'Neil's stuff and the banter back and forth, I can't help but wonder why the democrats can't come up with someone who would capture the voters imagination. The bar is very low I think we can all agree.

Dean I don't believe has what it takes to win. He's there almost by default, being the furthest left (other than the fringe candidates) which gives him a nice bloc in primaries. But I don't believe he'll have a chance in the election.

The others haven't captured anyone's attention. Clark did before he announced and then seemed to self-destruct. Irrespective of viewpoints, Lieberman and Gephart seem to be men of honor, but neither seem to be catching real attention. Both are dull, not Hollywood, and one has his religious albatross, the other his "tax and spend" label, tough things to overcome.
