well, a blunt and obviously honest man like O'Neill is surely more trustworthy than a guy who has demonstrably lied just about every time he has opened his mouth ( e.g. 'we know Saddam has WMDs and we know where they are', yada yada ) .
in any event, O'Neill merely confirmed what anyone with half a brain ALREADY knew: Shrubs is basically in a coma. possibly all that coke-snorting and drinking in his youth destroyed a few brain-cells too many, who knows? fact is, the guy isn't even able to articulate a coherent thought beyond a handful of one-liners. many have alleged that he is 'really smart' and only makes as if he was dumb, but i tend to agree with the following characterization: he's a 'pod person':
