Wow - it sure took you time to come up with that retort
If you had a bit more knowledge around the world, you would know that I am quite a few hours ahead of you - that is, it is quite normal for me to reply to posts a day after they have been posted in the US.
The rest of your post is not any more worthy, unfortunately. It is also slightly amusing to see how your thin veil of civility disappears the second you are challenged or somehow feel threatened.
Although I don't have the knowledge you probably have with respect to truffles, I do know how one finds them.
Then when you referred to people "snorting truffles in Parisian cafes", were you under the impression that people in cafes look for truffles (under trees, perhaps?) rather than eat them?
Do you realize that you are not making sense?
Isn't that what you've been trying to prove by making fun of our President and claiming that Americans are ignorant because they are satisfied with local knowledge, don't travel, don't read, etc., etc.
Not at all.
Your president is, by his own admission, a man who has not travelled, nor read a book after graduation. My personal view is that he is too ignorant, not to mention his judgement being clouded by religious extremism, to be president of the US, with all the responsibility and power the job entails.
However, this does not translate to Americans at large. I know so many intelligent and cultivated Americans that I would never make that remark, which exists solely in your paranoid delusions.
On YOU, my opinion is slightly different, but I see no reason to go into that now. |
