But that's not how I calculate my max pain. My max pain is calculated on the basis of how much premium do I get for my willingness to part with my stock at a certain price. And I always go for a dollar plus change with the current price near to at or very near the strike price, maybe even a little above the strike price. This means that I usually wait until two-three days before expiration before I make my move. For instance, yesterday morning, I had the chance to sell the Feb 60 for $1.00. And I did. So far so good.
