If we had a "President's Question Time" we would get very different people in the office. Though Blair is trying very hard to look like a US-style focus-group blow-dry puffball.

Our society has more respect for sound bites and spin than head-to-head debate on the issues.

Shrub wouldn't last five minutes at the podium. I have no doubt Clark would. Haven't seen Dean in a live forum (debates are the wrong time here or not available).
