I didn't mean to suggest that the strike aircraft were inadequate... merely that the strikes would have been more effective with the addition of our much larger strike force (that was fueled and ready to go on off-shore carriers... until the strike was canceled), and with the intelligence we had --- which would have enabled the specific targeting of the parties responsible for the bombing.
