ALL RIGHT!

My great granddaddy was in Illinois and served in an Illinois regiment (Union, obviously). Wounded in his first battle which the Union lost. He was captured by the Confederates who took the field. He was well treated and cared for by the Confederates who captured him, but then he was sent to Andersonville Prison in Georgia. He was there two years and it nearly killed him. He died in his late twenties two after the war.
