That's right, it's a democracy, not necessarily a socialism. What you are describing would make the French proud, not to mention Marx and Lenin. No wonder you're supporting Kerry. Sorry, Tenchusatsu, the above statement makes no sense. We have always had a progressive tax system where the rich pay a bigger share. Its just not as progressive as the French or German system, neither of which are socialistic countries. They are just more socialistic than we are. The right is so used to using scare words like socialism that it no longer knows what't real and what's not. ted
