Having second thoughts about including SubjectMarks and PeopleMarks on the same page. On one hand, it's very handy from the user viewpoint. On the other, combining them into a single page means running a "wasted" query and delivering "wasted" results since you're either going to deal with a peoplemark or subjectmark from that page. Not both.

Hadn't really given it any thought on iHub, but the combination of my subjectmarks and peoplemarks on SI makes for quite a large page.

Being only one of a few people on such a powerful system means never having to say "I wonder when my page is gonna arrive", even on dialup. Could be a different issue when it's in production.

Of course, I could just segregate subjectmarks and peoplemarks into two separate pages later if I find it's causing a performance problem.

Well! I'm listening to the Classic Rock station on DirecTV and they're playing "Finding My Way", by Rush. I've never heard that song anywhere but my albums/cds before.

Anyway, expect the development server to go blank or start throwing a lot of error messages soon. I'm about ready to zap a lot of the tables and re-import them. It should be out for a few hours.
