I think the adequate comparison is not Argentina, it's
Germany and Italy in the 20-s. With this Fed, and the lack
of restraint over the power of the printing press, foreign
folks holding a mountain of dollars 5 times bigger than M1,
we could easily slide into a total dollar destruction phase.
We have the bomb, but the Japanese control the fuse. They
know if they light the fuse, the bomb will kill them. But
they are not the only ones who can do it. And,
the Fed does not have control over the Japanese or the
Chinese, or other folks controlling the fuse. He can monitor
the fuse, though. And while it's not lit, partey on! -g-

P.S. History says that a currency can add 9 zeroes in a
situation like we are now...
