I drove by the Dean, Kerry & Edwards hdqts

this morning. They are within a few blocks of each other.
All are crowded with media types, backpackers, young and old.
Edwards was pulling up to his place just as I passed - lots of folks there - he's getting a late shove from the newspaper & it appears to be helping him. The local TV has been a blur of advertisements - one after the other. In my opinion , they effectively cancel out - just another politician in a sweater saying that he's for good healthcare and against war.
The mail today, like yesterday & the day before,
is loaded with still pictures of guys in sweaters, holding babies & declaring their support for healthcare and their aversion to war.
The phone calls now are no longer the automated voices of the actual candidates (at least once a day from each for weeks) but are real people who want to know who I will support , and then want to change my mind.
I've heard that candidates have spent over 100 bucks a vote - call it 'intensive politickin'.
I'm quite sure that Clark won't get the necessary 15% in my precint which would allow him a delegate to the county convention. So I (and any other Clark supporters as well as undecideds) will be wooed by the other caucus participants in order to persuade us to their candidate.
I expect "electibility" to be the key issue.
Probably the most decisive fact to emerge from this caucus
will be the end of Gephardt's run. He's spent out & by his own admission needs a win to go on. Kucinich is spending
too a can't have much left.
