What do you think the West Bank is?

The West Bank is not one big refugee camp.

It is mostly a refugee camp.

Nor is keeping people away from the home they or their ancestors used to live in the same as "keeping them in refugee camps". Its not like Israel is shooting anyone who leaves the camps.

No, but where is there to go? They can't leave the WB and the camps themselves are centered on the towns. Its possible to go to a town that is not a camp but if there are no jobs in the new town, what would be the point. The coutry side is mostly arid plateau. The Israelis control the water supply.

Furthermore, the WB has become economically stagnant under Israeli rule.

Either you don't understand the situation or you are playing games. Where do you want the Palestinians to live? They are from Palestine....do you want them to emigrate to Greece or Germany?

I want them to live where they can if they want to. "Elsewhere" meant outside of the camps not in Germany. You can be in the West Bank or Gaza and not be in a refugee camp.

See my above answer.

Get real, Tim. You're playing semantic games.

I'm not playing games with obscure definitions or nit-picky semantic points. Words have meanings. It is simply not true that Sharon was found guilty in the way you describe. I might not focus as much on semantics if you didn't play fast and lose with the words you use. If you want to argue that Sharon has done immoral things in his life time I'd probably agree, if you want to argue that he was at least negligent in the Sabra and Shatilla situation I might also agree, if you want to say he was found guilty of slaughter or murder in this situation then your making a statement that is incorrect. I'm not support Sharon, just accuracy.

This is what Sharon was found guilty of:

"Sharon was forced to resign in 1983, after an Israeli tribunal found him indirectly responsible for the massacre of hundreds of Palestinians at the refugee camps of Sabra and Shatila by Lebanese Christian militiamen allied with Israel."

pbs.org

In what way did I play fast and lose with words re. Sharon? Because he was "indirectly responsible" that makes him less guilty? His soldiers were standing outside the camps while the Palestinians were massacred by the Christians and did nothing even as the Palestinians begged for their help. His soldiers were following his orders.

You tell me where I am playing fast and loose with the truth! In fact, you're not about getting at the truth but winning your argument. That's why semantics have become a big issue with you.
