Ted, you demanded proof that Bush's tax cuts helped stimulate the economy, yet you accept without question the notion that Clinton created the prosperity of the 90's. Of course, Clinton had no control over the exuberance that peaked in 2000 ... except for the fact that he credited himself for the "New Economy."

I didn't demand any proof.......I have the actual experience of his tax cuts to review. Consumer deman remained okay during the recession. It didn't slump as much as past recessions. One of the reasons was because of the tax cuts; a bigger reason was the reduction in mortgage payments due to lower interest rates.

As for Clinton, the man did a whole slew of things that made the economy boom. It did not happen by chance in spite of the fact that the small minded DR and the GOP would like us to think otherwise. Clinton knew what he was doing......Bush does not. Clinton had to make his way the hard way; Bush was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and acts accordingly.

I only brought up Clinton because of the double-standard of proof.

There is no double standard; that's only your daNile. ;~)
