I am watching the various TV channels covering the Iowa caucus. What is so funny to me is how homely, to put it in a kind way, all the people are who are actually managing things. Here are all these glamorous looking candidates, and glamorous looking news people, and when there are commercials, especially glamorous looking people. And here voting and counting the votes are the fat, the frizzy, the doddering, the greasy, the wobbly, the squat, the skinny, the grizzly, the bald, the greybearded, the paunchy, the lame, the shaky, the confused, the arrogant, the self-important, the cowed, the distracted, the dimwitted, the pretentious, the ultramethodical, and the flapdoodly.
I guess this is what is known as democracy. |
