Andrew Malim was granted options in CanAlaska in May of 1996, shortly after he became a director. Mr Malim has never exercised any of his options. The VSE cease trading order was issued because Mr Malim had failed to file an initial report stating his directorship and option position, and this oversight is nothing more than a clerical error.

The concern for shareholders regarding insider trading is that of insiders selling prior to releasing bad news, or buying prior to releasing good news about the company. Thus the disclosure rules, and thus the VSE's justified concern that insiders are properly registered.

Mr Veltheer, I hope this addresses your objections.

Robert Douglas Hickey
ICA Director.
