This looks like a job for a technical writer and since I might be the only one on this thread I'll give it a shot.

To select, copy and paste PDF text

1. On the menu bar click Tools > Basic > Select Text.

2. Do one of the following:

- Click at the beginning of the selection text and drag across the text.
- Click four times to select all the text on a page.
- Drag a selection rectangle around a block of text.

3. Right-click (Windows) or control-click (Mac) and choose Copy to Clipboard.

4. Click in the document where you would like to paste the text.

5. On the menu bar click Edit > Paste.

Notes
- This works for Adobe Reader 6. I'm not sure about other versions.
- You can also click the Select Text Tool button(looks like the letter "T") on the tool bar.
