To All, I just noticed that when I wrote this productivity note, I didn't show the stats that are the basis of my musing. So, for those who haven't seen them, "here's bummy" -g-:

Average Annual increases in Non-farm productivity by decade (from The Associated Press)

1950-1959 2.8 pct.

1960-1969 2.8 Pct.

1970-1979 1.9 pct.

1980-1989 1.1 pct.

1990-1996 0.9 pct.

This helps explain the complaint of those such as myself who say that pc boxes show up everywhere except in the productivity numbers.
