Wesley Clark campaign E mail
January 20, 2004
Dear *****,
The 2004 election has officially begun! And as the dust settles from the Iowa caucuses, all eyes now turn to New Hampshire, where the first primary delegates will be awarded in just seven days.
New Hampshire will be the site of Wes Clark's first stand in the 2004 campaign. And as we all saw in Iowa last night, this race is still wide open. This election is ours to win, but we have to redouble our efforts to do it. Your support will make the difference in this race.
Help drive Wes Clark to victory in New Hampshire next Tuesday!
While our opponents have been busy attacking each other and spending millions of dollars in Iowa, Wes Clark has been meeting the voters of New Hampshire and sharing our vision for America. And the people in New Hampshire are responding.
The fact is, voters in New Hampshire are looking for a winner. They are looking for someone with experience, who speaks his mind and shares their belief in the promise of America.
In Wes Clark, they see someone who has given his life to serving his country, who understands the issues, and who can provide the leadership we deserve.
But now, the rest of the field is heading back to try to stop our incredible momentum. We need to be prepared for the tough road ahead, in these next seven days and beyond. Attacks will come fast and furious -- from all sides. We need your support -- today -- to provide Wes Clark with the resources he needs to rise above these attacks and get his positive message for change out to New Hampshire voters.
Provide Wes Clark with the resources he needs to win in New Hampshire -- and beyond!
Even as we focus on New Hampshire, tonight our true opponent will give us a glimpse of what's to come in the year ahead. As George W. Bush delivers his State of the Union address, we'll hear him proclaim something we already know: our nation is strong. But we don't need President Bush to tell us how strong we are, and we certainly can't let him take credit for our strength.
The American people -- you, your family, friends, and neighbors -- are the source of America's strength. But under this Administration, the American people are being divided, scared, sold out to special interests, and robbed of individual rights. The message tonight is that America is strong; but it can be much, much stronger.
Our ultimate goal is much larger than defeating George W. Bush. Wes Clark's campaign is about helping America fulfill its great potential.
The first step to reaching that goal is in your hands. Stand up for Wes Clark and for the promise of America today.
Join us now as we close in on New Hampshire!
With appreciation,
Paul Johnson Campaign Manager Clark for President
