American business execs have the most humungous egos ever assembled on face of the earth.

They have big egos, but typically political leaders have even bigger egos.

Money-hungry people have caused most of the injustices, slaughters, warfare in world history

Most of the slaughters where done for conquest or in the name of an ideology or religion or out of hatred for a specific race, religion or other group.

then they have the audacity to claim to be the reason behind progress of the human race

I didn't say "American business execs" where the reason behind most of the progress of the human race, but people motivated by profit are in aggregate the biggest source of progress for the human race.

The average inhabitants of this planet have progressed IN SPITE OF the inequities imposed on them through centuries by the greedy class.

Without the profit motive and capitalism most of the people on this planet would have never been born.
