Nakita, Speaking of Mrs. Dean, I saw something today that was astounding. Former Gov Keating of Oklahoma spoke at National Press Club. After being introduced, he said "explaining where your wife is has become the order of the day, mine is at home waiting for the plumber." It was absolutely amazing to me. It's so juvenile for Americans to expect a man & wife to be constantly joined at hip. My husband & I have a great marriage but neither of us expects to accompany the other to every single activity in life. That seems so backward. Mrs. Dean is a family doctor. Her presence close to patients is more important than standing on a stage, gazing adoringly at her husband, in a barn somewhere in middle of Iowa.
