Technically speaking, a company's primary moral obligation is to their shareholders-of course, within the bounds of paying legal debts and obeying laws etc.

IBM serves no purpose by going bankrupt trying to preserve unpreservable jobs.

Computer programming as a profession is dead in this country IMO.

If we are going to survive and thrive as a country in this brave new world, we have to learn to adjust our economic sights and export erything that we can export with either a unique nitch or a competitive price tag.

Agriculture should be a strong point-American brand name cars still have kitch value world wide. American movies and television are (perhaps unfortunately) extraordinarily popular world wide. We need to immediately promote a massive tourism industry.

But computers-I believe you can kiss that one good bye.
