I believe that you know the answer to that question Michael. They are using whatever technology they think that they can get away with. I've seen the rows of 6,000 mah D cells. They are not the latest technology but they do work even in this cold wave that we are having. I remember Del saying how he tested his batteries several years ago by putting them in the freezer. I was impressed by his due diligence at that time. The batteries work fine in this temperature although they give better gas mileage in the spring time.

I see where Sanyo is claiming patentable rights on AB5 technology with a lighter cheaper Maganese Cobalt version. This company needs to be profitable in some area so that they can kick some ass from all the people who are out to steal what they have developed.
