Dean reminds me of Huey Long, Father John Coughlin, and William Jennings Bryan. I guess that rhetorical style is not fashionable anymore. Actually, kinda reminded me of the Nuremberg rallies, but I don't mean that Dean is a hatemonger, I mean the shouting, growling, gesticulating style. Remember, extremism in defence of liberty is no vice; moderation in pursuit of justice is no virtue. For some people, it works.

Kerry, on the other hand, is cerebral - but not intellectual - and seems very disaffected to me. Post-modern, even. So cool he's cold.

Dubya's speech last night made me think that his biggest problem is that he's been too successful in the WOT, or at least appears to have been too successful in the WOT. He's had a very good year, but the electorate may wonder "what have you done for me lately?"
