Their speeches can certainly be a factor. Though, you never know how big of an impact it will have. There seems to always be a meeting or speech forthcoming which is destined to move the market in some capacity.

Unless the result of their message can be associated w/ a high volume, directional move.. I don't pay much attention.

Market is largely flat today. I'd say this year's address was basically a non-event for stocks. Last year you could point to the effect it had on fuel cell issues. Nice little frenzy for those that got in early.
