Nope. And I do not trust the Republicans. Never have. I do not like John Ashcroft - and never have. I don't really like Bush (though I enjoy elements of his general persona), and never have. But I vigorously support all of them because I utterly reject the alternatives to them.

Here is how I essentially see the whole conservative vs leftist thing:

I read in Time Magazine (a most barbarous publication that I have received for free for many years now and that I will soon terminate forever) where Gore called Bush a "moral coward." You just don't see Bush trashing his opponents so coarsely, with so little dignity and honesty. I think that is because Bush, despite his many faults, is fundamentally a decent man, a guy with which I could even hunt or fish. Gore, on the other hand, is not even worthy enough to drink my spit.
