Found this reaction to parts of last night's SofU address on another message board: -- "our troops are making America more secure" (too bad the policymakers aren't doing a better job) -- "we are raising the standards for public schools"? (by providing their names to military recruiters) -- "we are improving protection for the elderly under Medicare" (by not letting them get Canadian presription drugs?) --Applause for PATRIOT ACT EXPIRING NEXT YEAR (we hear you Democrats! Bush makes scrunchy face when people applaud the fact that it's expiring) --smug face after his Saddam capture remark (I got 'em Daddy!...I'm a tough guy) -- "America is always willing to do what it takes for what is right" (in that case I think we should take care of the homeless vet that was on the corner with a sign on my drive home tonight) --he still can't say nu-clee-ar (he says nu-ku-lar)
