I very much appreciate your frank and candid feedback. However, I'd pose the question, "What do you suppose they get from the oil that they didn't have before?" They certainly must pay the Iraquis for it. If they turn up production, then by law of supply and demand the price of oil will go down. Not something I think they want. I think there is a huge dependence of the oil for Iraq to turn around its economy.

I think that Iraq has been a thorn in our side for many years. They openly defied UN decrees. They invaded a soverign country and mass murdered hundreds of thousands of their own citizens. I think if anything, Bush Jr felt that we owed the Shiite and Kurds of Iraq a debt for letting them think we would support their uprising after the Gulf War.
