"You can imagine the outcry if they had proposed a "Distinguished White Student" award." Why doesn't that school have an annual "Distinguished Hispanic American Student Award"? Why isn't there a "Distinguished Caucasian Student Award"? Etc, etc. What makes African Americans so much more noteworthy than any other race in that school?
