Generals are very typically not very interested in politics. Even Clark was not thinking about the Presidency. He was encouraged to do so, possibly by the Clintons are maybe by a few others. But his ambitions were not there as late as early last year. I mean the same thing happened with Norman Schwarzkoff. And it is the same with Colin Powell. He happen to do what he is doing today in the spirit of service to community.

So generals generally do not get into making comments about fellow generals, for or against.
