"Clark made his mark, he didn't kiss boot. Them boys don't like that too well. " I think it is more like his military superiors felt Clark is very smart and a real go getter, but at times maybe a lose cannon on deck and wouldn't be dangerous as long as he has others above him that can counter any move that might make that could get the U.S. into trouble or if he goes to far. (Kinda of like Clinton!) But as President there isn't anyone above him as a safety check, so he doesn't get the support from those who knew him best. Not a positive contrarian signal to me. I just wonder if he earns the democratic nomination if they will still remain silent.
