One flavor of nanny is less distasteful than the other. Well, that's a matter of opinion. There's another factor that you didn't mention. The blue nanny has already done just about all the damage it can do. It has already implemented most of its agenda and is just fiddling around on the margins. The red nanny has a nearly blank canvas so it has lots and lots more room to add to the nanny burden. You realize, don't you, that nanny programs are largely cumulative. Most of the red nanny programs will sit atop of the already existing pile of blue nanny programs.
