Brooke and Wayne(and all directional people),

I racked my brains a couple days ago trying to come up with a good "formula" for the directional movement... I liked what I saw with the scan that both of you wrote... Wayne and Brooke(I'll have to sit and think about yours a little Wayne seems complicated... I like to know what the scan is doing in my head before I start to give it much validity in it's buy signals...)

I've fooled around with different variations with my scans and I can't seem to come up with one I like... basically I've used these 2...
These are for Longs...
1. positive directional > negative
ADX cross(or just greater than) negative directional

2. positive directional > negative
ADX cross(or just greater then) a particular number ie... 20-35

sells were ADX is =< previous day of ADX

Now for me the ratings for the directional movement seemed to work best when using a 14-19 range... I fooled around with having variables for each DI+ DI- and ADX but then I figured I was getting to complicated(needed to work on the basics of the scan first).

anyone have any ideas how to improve the system test... maybe throwing a moving avg. in of the ADX or looking for a better number with the ADX crossing ie 20-35...or perhaps changing the sell criteria
