Dan, there are so many rules that software probably doesn't meet all the criteria, especially to define a leader without checking each stock individually. Out of the IBD 100, there have only been 3 stocks identified as meeting CANSLIM criteria and 2 of them (JCOM and SCHN) dropped 12 points when earnings were released and both are trying to bottom and bounce back.
I have used IBD data for 14 years, but not the CANSLIM approach per se.
