Thanks for the Global Warming article. If the Gulf Stream/North Atlantic Drift stops, even for a decade, the effects will be wrenching. If the similar clockwise rotation in the North Pacific stopped, the fog bank off N. Ca would evaporate and we'd have Malibu in Mendocino. Interesting to see that Putin is saying his country might benefit from warmer world weather. (BTW, have you noticed how both Bush and his pal Putin have been behaving in analogous ways of late.) As for the Global Warming, more seems to be ahead. I note via Rose, that even the year of the monkey calls for the weather to grow sunnier.
