believe me I have had my fair share of flaming from all kinds of wackos... [my favorite ones were those from the penny-stock-lovers] ah those were the glory days from SI long gone...
Oh and then I had other epic battles from the depression set, religious wackos, and other sundry collection of misfits -lol... so i promised myself I would not get involved in these things... unfortunately, I suppose I threading dangerous waters infested with radical sharks and other fauna lurking in the background ready to ignite the flame thrower at any second now..

It does surprise me the blindness that I see from otherwise quite smart people... but when it comes to seeing the lack of clothes on the emperor's naked butt... well.... who knows why this is so...
I have no idea why a difference on opinion, or the desire for the government to be more honest is viewed as an attack and made a "de-facto" enemy ... the more surprising thing is... all it is being done is use the principles this very same country was based on: namely ---> restrain and CHECK of excessive government authority...
at the very least... question the damned bastards!
I can understand that it is a sensitive issue given 9/11, for that I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. I myself have to remind of that day constantly and remember the anger I felt --as never before I did-- no, I was not born in this country, but to me that does not matter, because the terrorists attacked, more than a country, they attacked a philosophy, a "way of life", and most importantly, they attacked innocent civilians, regardless of their nationality.
For that, I will never forget those bastards and as far as I am concerned, if it was up to me I would fry every living arsehole that calls himself/herself a terrorist. --starting with Arafat.
BUT that does not stop me from questioning the motives of a particular leader in his actions, especialy when I have seen and witnessed a modus operandi that makes no sense at all...
nor... am I willing to just give up my certain freedoms just because the same government is using the excuse of 9/11 to infringe on privacy issues... again, particularly when that same government is unwilling to simply ask...
Is there another way to solve this problem ? I mean the methods of the past have not really work...
why are we ignoring the fact that slowly but surely, we are becoming less and less (numbers) while the third world is exploding in their populations.... does that not ring a bell of caution.... or are we set on bombing anyone in sight that does not quite see our way ?

besides... i give ZERO value to your passport or flag, or border. I am interested in the character and his/her mindset... as far as I am concern we are all earthlings, the country/flag/whatever are designs of politicians, whom I have no trust and their intention in my eyes, 90 % of the time is less than honorable, so to me is meaningless.
I will admit it makes for a fun environment in sport competition, but that will be as far as I take the origin of your place of birth. (other than planet earth).

all they need to do --in general terms now-- is travel a little more.... oh yes and have better Geography teachers... I bet they would have a better understanding of what is it that in some lands, they view Americans the way they do.
do not misunderstand me... in spite of all ills (as anyone else have) it is still a great place to be... very generous and positive... just a little blind here and there... but that does not mean it cannot be improved, (as anywhere else).
