Since you're asking opinions, I wouldn't wish ME on my worst enemy. I'm just kidding there but I would not recommend Windows Me to anyone.

I have heard that XP's "security" features won't allow you to use it on more than one computer. Is that true?

Yes. You can install it on one machine. Windows 2000 is a good os.
