There will always be someone in the press wanting to make a fast buck. Where was this guy when Edwards ran for Senate? Did he find this out after Edwards got elected to the SEnate. Does this gut also have any "shit" on Kerry. And if he is so good at finding shit, why doesn't he try something on Bush or Cheney. Those will not be hard to come by.
