That's because it accepts that taxes are a part of life. Joseph and Mary were on their way to Betheleham for the census and to pay taxes It doesn't say that they have to be high or that supporting tax increases or opposing tax decreases is a moral requirement. Doesn't say what is rightfully Ceasers. What did the Roman Empire do best? They did a lot of things well. I'm not sure what the relevance of your question is to my question. You're a fool if you believe we can exist without taxes. Who said I though we could exist without taxes? Also the meaning of "exist without taxes", is unclear. Certainly human societies can exist and have existed without taxes, but a nation like the US or a society organized anything like those what we have in America could not exist without taxes. Tim
