Pluvia's been around SI for years, and i've never seen him long anything .... doesn't have a portfolio, calls it a 'shortfolio' .... he started that thread on ivan.naz after going short, he says, looks like he was underwater for a bit but in the end it was a good call
'A tall tree catches the wind', the japanese say .... you wouldn't want to be tooo famous in Calandra's business .... the whole idea behind NLWs gets self-defeating at a certain point of great fame anyway, because it leads directly to herd effect, too many folks trying to get into or out of any particular play, all at once ..... it's got a natural limit on it, easy to see why some put a cap on subscription numbers ..... the best NLWs are the ones who teach general principles, by explaining the reasoning behind their picks
bmccra, that's right, i'd forgotten, Anatolia was one of Calandra's picks - #reply-19722715 .... but i don't think he's got it hyped up by much, it's good value in any case ...... another trivia bit on ano.u - that James Dale Davidson who gets discussed in connection with certain otc-bb crapstocks was 'among the founders' of Anatolia ... that's from memory, forgot where i read it ..... don't think it reflects on the company now at all |
