Some thoughts on the debate tonight... I fear Clark has been over coached. His debate performance (and sometimes his stump speeches) differ greatly from his incredible fluency during one on one interviews. It's like he's been brainwashed to speak in soundbites. I hate to say it but I think he did not do very well. The handlers and advisers should back off. Kerry did well - he looked presidential and had some compelling comments. Dean was uneven but redeemed himself a bit. Edwards had one brilliant moment when asked about process - he said we should be talking about the 35 million people living in poverty.
