With all due respect, if this were to happen, the entire Arab world would be in 1 corner against the US (and Israel) in the other corner.

Why any more so than right now, when US troops patrol Baghdad? The always just-about-to-rise Arab Street would continue to snooze. It's Hizbullah that I would worry about more. However, if Bashar Assad continue to hid Saddam's goodies, I suspect a few Special Forces. are going to forget the location of the borders of Syria.
