Wayne........I took you Middle Band Formula #2, changed the number of periods from 30 to 21, and then put simple 13 day BBands around it. Then I created a formula that is your Middle Band Formula less its 13 day simple MA, and found something that looks pretty good in calling both trading moves AND volatility. See what you think:

Fml "ScoMd" = (Mov(C,21,S)+2*Std(C,21)-(Mov(C,21,S)-2*Std(C,21)))/Mov(C,21,S)

and

Fml "ScoSig"
= Fml( "ScoMd" )-Mov(Fml( "ScoMd" ),13,S)
